**Pre-requisites:  Completion of AAAM Level 1 and Level 2 Certification Courses to be eligible to take the AAAM Board Examination + 6 months of study and practice after completion of Level 2.**

Refund Policy

Note that refunds or credits for cancellation are not provided after April 27, 2025. If you cancel prior to April 27, 2025, a $250 administration charge is deducted from your paid course registration. No fee will be deducted if credit is transferred to another AAAM event before April 27, 2025; credit must be used within six months. Full registration fees are forfeited after the cancellation deadline. No-shows are considered cancellations and any refund or credit is forfeited. All refunds must be requested in writing to info@aaamed.org

Candidate must receive a passing grade of 70% to advance to the Oral Exam.

Examination covers the following topics from the Level 1 and Level 2 Courses:

  • Botox, Dermal Fillers
  • Cosmetic Dermatology
  • Skin Conditioning, Rejuvenation and Chemical Peels
  • Lasers, IPL, Physical Peelings and other Technologies in Aesthetic Medicine
  • Pain Management
  • PRP

Written exams are graded, candidates are notified

Oral Examination

Candidates have 10 minutes of preparatory time to review case study PowerPoint slides.

Candidates will present their evaluation to each senior examiner for 10 minutes.

1.       Forehead and Eyebrows: Anatomic analysis, BoNT-A injections for frontalis, glabella treatment, eyelid ptosis, frown lines treatment using dermal fillers

2.       Temples - Anatomic analysis and MD codes for temples, Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) Disorders and the role of Botulinix Toxin

3.       Periorbital - Anatomic analysis, orbiculares oculi muscle treatment and blepharospasm

 

D. Anatomy of Mid-Face Muscles

 

1.       Cheeks - Anatomic analysis, dermal fillers for cheeks, the use of threads for jowls

2.       Nose - Anatomic analysis, BoNT-A injections, dermal fillers for nose tip and dorsum

3.       Perioral - Anatomic analysis, SMAS and the mouth expressions, dermal fillers for nasolabial folds and marionette lines, dermal fillers for lip rejuvenation and enhancement

 

E. Anatomy of Lower Face Muscles was

 

1.       Chin - Anatomic analysis, BoNT-A for mentalis, dermal fillers for chin definition

2.       Neck- Anatomic analysis, the Platysma Approach, nefertiti neck lifting, essentials on threads for neck

 

F. Pearls and guides on safe aesthetic injections
